HOW DO WE MAKE IT?
The fast times we live in, has meant that we have less time for food. So as a Chef, I have always thought of coming up with something that can be delicious, filling, yet carry that punch of great
Oh yes, and it should appeal to the new age millennial and even the homemaker too!
So with careful study, good insights and some smart experimentation, I came up with a traditional batter mixed with finger millet or Ragi, as it more popularly called. In this batter I simply substituted rice for Ragi, used split skinless Urad Dal and added salt for taste. A good round of stone grinding and the batter comes to just the perfect smooth consistency. A long spell of at least 8 to 12 hours of natural fermentation and the batter rises to a good volume
with a beautiful, dull earthy colour.
This wholesome batter contains more than 60% ragi. Every bite of food made from this batter is a rich source of calcium, minerals and fibre. It assists in in weight loss, controls diabetes and lowers cholesterol levels. Easy to digest for even kids. Truly awesome in every way.
ALWAYS FRESH – A fresh batch of this super healthy batter has to be ready for delivery every day. Why? Because I know how good it is for the health of everyone. That is motivation enough for me!
HOW TO USE THE BATTER?
For best results
• Rinse the pack under running water.
• Bring the refrigerated batter to room temperature.
• Stir it well to a good consistency add water if needed.
• Taste the batter and add salt if you want to.
• For making idlis scoop up a portion of batter and pour it into the greased idly moulds.
• For dosas pour a ladle full of the batter out on to a well-oiled pan and spread it evenly.
HOW DOES IT TASTE?
Whatever your menu for the day– Idlis or Dosas - anything made
from this wholesome batter has a tinge of the healthy taste of ragi.
Nothing can match good healthy eating!

Whenever you or your loved ones are hungry. Great meal for breakfast.
Healthy alternative for the kids and grown-ups for tiffin breaks. Good evening snack too.
HOW TO ENJOY IT?
Serve the ragi colour tinged, spongy idlis, steaming hot.
The brown spotted, textured dosas, well done and crispy on both sides
Team them up with the Coconut Chutney, Sambhar or Gunpowder from Curry Patta!
